PASS the Attention!


When Bhai* came from USA, Mom said, “I hate that unclean stubble & so will my honewaali-bahu*, Aditya…” 
Though I sided with Bhai sometimes, this time I supported Mom.

“Aditi, You’re younger than me!”  
Bhai always played this “you-are-young-card” though I am just 3 years younger!

Bhai is one of the most eligible bachelors in the world! 

Last year, my best-friend Diya confessed to me that she loved him! 
“But, I hate that unclean stubble” Diya had said. 

When Bhai went to the Mall to meet his best-friend (who also has a Stubble!), I followed him in a disguised-look. I occupied a table close to the duo in that Cafeteria. My heart missed a beat when I caught him looking at me…

Just then, a smart lady-Police-Officer arrived with a Police-Man. 
Heading straight to my Bhai’s table, she said, “You are under arrest!” 


It seemed Bhai’s face matched that of the terrorist Samimam. They showed Samimam’s photographs that I could see clearly. Shocking resemblance! 
Mom always said the stubble made Bhai look like a terrorist…

I removed my disguise (false hair & sunglasses!) & defended, “He’s my Bhai & no terrorist! He just returned from the USA yesterday! Bhai is always clean-shaven. Samimam has a stubble/beard in all his pics! Just wait!” 

Within less than 5 minutes I had picked two Razors & Shaving-Cream from the next store and re-entered the scene. I asked the Police-Man to remove the hand-cuffs and requested both my Bhai & his friend to shave there and then! They obliged. They emerged clean-shaven.  

His (Bhai’s) clean shaven look bowled her (Lady Police-Officer) over.

The "Police Officers" apologized to Bhai & his friend. 

Actually, Diya and her brother (disguised as Officers) did!

Then the three of us said, “APRIL FOOL!”

Kahaani mein twist Courtesy April 1st!

Master-Plan Successful!

* Bhai- Brother, in Hindi
* Honewaali-bahu- To-be-Daughter-in-law, in Hindi
* Kahaani Mein twist- Twist in the Story!

    What a delightful and humorous piece this is. Good job with stringing WOW and PASS. I pull the same joke on my brother that the cops will mistake you for a terrorist if you don't get that stubble off your face.
