The latest art exhibition in town featured a famous artist whose name was familiar to Maria.
He had been her classmate in junior school!
Then, he was transferred elsewhere.
Later, Maria found him featured in the media.
She started following his work.
She always felt proud of his achievements.
Photo Prompt- Roger Bultot |
Maria was excited to be visiting the exhibition!
Would he remember her when they met after all those decades?
In an exquisitely carved glass exhibit, she saw a little girl with two plaits that reminded her of her school-going self!
Then, she chanced upon the name of the exhibit- "O Maria!"
100 words story for Friday Fictioneers
"O Maria" reminds me of a catchy Hindi movie song from the Bollywood film- "Saagar".

Do you have any such childhood memories? Do you think the artist remembers his friend?
I love artworks and exhibitions, don't you?
Sounds like this might be the beginning of a whole new chapter
