She thought herself to be lucky-
Always experimenting with art!
Their engines made
her appear murky-
Like a fox & coyote,
without heart.
She worked hard to sow the
seeds.
Her confidence gave them
the blues.
They removed her plants as weeds!
Her name joined their list of taboos.

Their wish - to trample wildflowers!
Some of her plants blossomed lilies.
Flowers & fruits - after hours!
Like oranges - result of pieties!
This poet was never in
the soup.
Though in high spirits, she was sober.
Her scent & rhythms played
in loop-
Extra zeroes in her
bank-account score
This is a 100 words story-poem for Shay's Word Garden.
I have used all the 20 word prompts given by Fireblossom for this week (we were to use any three)
I happen to know such a girl, do you too? Please share your comments below.
Sounds like a success story to me! Thanks for joining us at the List!
ReplyDeleteI love her to pieces. I'm pleased she found success being eccentric and artistic. What a perfect image you paired your poem with.
