"Who is that charming lady in the photograph?" Mini asked her grandmother.
"That is my grandmother!" Mini's grandmother answered pointing to the lady who was seated.
Photo Prompt- Rochelle Wisoff Fields |
"I was referring to
the tall and fair lady, who is standing... I look a lot like her!" Mini
winked.
"Granddaughters do
resemble their grandmothers; it’s in the genes!" Mini’s grandma laughed.
"We must get a similar photograph clicked right now. Pictures speak more than a thousand words; and ten thousand if they are colour images!" Mini said.
"And videos speak more than a lakh words perhaps?" grandma asked.

I'd say a photograph is worth a thousand videos
ReplyDeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteLovely story. Love your choice of "prompt". Someone forgot to put in the actual prompt. You did well.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I enjoyed this conversation between generations. I can certainly attest to the genetic likenesses between grandmother/granddaughters :)
ReplyDeleteThank goodness grandsons don't look like grandads, I'd really feel really sorry for my three!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine!
The family photo album throws up some great images and memories.
ReplyDeleteYUp, videos speak more than one lakh words.
ReplyDeleteNice family time bonding.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anita. So wonderful to have mementos of our relatives, past and present.
ReplyDeleteSounds like grandmother keeps herself up-to-date with what her granddaughter is thinking. Suggesting that a video is worth a lakh words suggests she has often seen her granddaughter watching other people's video clips!
ReplyDeleteGreat story for the week.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have tried it. My Granny and I did so. We, at one time had 5 generations of women, so we did a photo. I was the baby at the time. Me, mom, granny, Gram, Gr. Gram, and Gr.Gr. gram... I remember seeing the photo...it was black and white. I wish I knew where it went. I was the only one who didn't look like the others. Otherwise, it was so obvious that it could have been the same person photoged over a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteNicely done, Anita.
ReplyDeleteNicely done story, Anita.
ReplyDeleteThese sort of photographs are precious.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful story post. Related between relationship. I like.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your story with the family photograph, Rochelle, had added.
ReplyDeleteI think photo speak volumes even if we don't know what was happening at the time they were taken.
Have a wonderful week ... Stay Safe Isadora
