Seven-year old Gia's mother was
very sick.
Gia was heart-broken to see her
industrious mother bed-ridden.
She could not afford to lose
her only parent.
"Only a miracle can save
her," the doctor answered after checkup.
Gia knew where miracles were
available.
She did remember the real-story
her mother had told her.
Gia lost no time to visit that
place- the local church.

"Jesus, I pray for the
miracle to save my mother", Gia sincerely prayed.
There was a loud thunder and
lightning.
When she came out, Gia saw a
bright divine light in the sky.
It followed her home.

Do you believe in miracles?
Gia sounds a lot like my character Melanie, I think they'd have some stories to share if they met and I hope Gia's would end happily.

ReplyDeleteSweet tale...
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a bright, divine light following someone home. Wonderful metaphor.
ReplyDeleteYour story is touching, and I believe in the power of prayer. I have to wonder, though--what do people do when there is no church building nearby? Prayer is just as effective in the hospital room as it is in the church building, yes?
ReplyDeleteMiracles are a suspension of natural law. I guess whether they exist or not depends on how many people support natural law and how many people claim to have seen its suspension
