The ‘Breaking News’ confirmed about alien-invasion.
Photo Prompt- David Stewart |
No one could explain how
so many fluorescent eggs had landed.
CCTV footage showed an
UFO.
The mysterious UFO was
undetected by any radar.
What would the eggs
hatch into? Was this a plan to takeover our planet?
Lini was startled to see the uncanny news.
Her news-channel had already covered about the same objects.

Lini quickly accessed
the news from the archives.
The fake-report
presented by her and her team on April Fool's Day had come true!
100 words story for Friday Fictioneers
A fake news may be real and what is thought to be real, may be fake. Can you identify between real and fake news?
What will we Earthlings do if aliens land up to inhabit our planet?
It could be another April Fool joke.
ReplyDeleteJust because someone else says it too doesn't make it true
ReplyDeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteWhat would they hatch into? Great April Fools joke.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Be careful what you wish for I guess!
ReplyDeleteGood story.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting take. I almost went UFO's I'm glad I didn't you did it way better than I would.
ReplyDeleteA deja vu scary moment! Fun take on the prompt.
ReplyDeleteYour April fool joke would deceive many, I think!
ReplyDeleteHah! Goes to show!
ReplyDeleteThat was quite clever! And who knows what is real and what is just propaganda these days?
ReplyDeleteI don't take any notice of the news on April 1st, not since the BBC told us spaghetti was grown on trees and millions believed it!
ReplyDeleteMy story!
This year's April Fool news was the Queen giving That American Woman an interview!!!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of layers to this, what is fake and what isn't. I feel like I've gotten good at spotting fakes since it's my job to spot fake transcripts and bank statements, but I know I'm not infallible. I don't think I'd know if aliens were here (maybe they already are) Great story. :)
