The Bag

She was rushing through the airport.

Already late for her flight, she dashed against another lady.

There was hardly any time to lose.

As she opened her laptop inside the flight, she saw a different screensaver.

There were familiar faces.

It wasn’t her laptop!

She had the wrong bag!

Bags had got exchanged when she had dashed with her ex-boyfriend's fiancé!

They were getting married.

She had been stalking their profiles...

She could have recognized his fiancé but for Covid19.

Face-masks make it tough to recognize people these days.

The detailed email with a sinister plot proved his fiancé’s identity.

100 words story for Friday Fictioneers.

A bag holds a lot of secrets, more so if there is a laptop too! Can we really know about a person when there is so much hidden in everyone's lives? What do you feel?
