The Prayer

After receiving a phone-call, she prayed, “God! Let this be untrue... My Mintu can't die," before collapsing on the floor.

When she came to her senses, she was on her bed.

Mintu entered the room with the doctor.

"What happened?"

"I fell unconscious. Mintu brought me to my senses and administered me syrup. I fell asleep. Thanks to Mintu, I’m alive."

The doctor and Mintu were perplexed.

After getting an SOS, they had entered her apartment just then.
They had climbed the stairs as the lift was not working.

Who was there before Mintu?

She lived on the thirty-eighth floor.

  1. My vote is there was a wormhole in the space-time continuum

  2. Dear Anita,

I'll agree with Neil. A wormhole sounds good. Although I'm not adverse to an angel.

    Shalom,

  4. 38 floors and the lift is out. Now there is a horror story.

  8. Huh. thirty-eight floors would take some time. Maybe it was an angel.

And yes, my prayers have been answered many times throughout my life. I am thankful.

  9. Sorry, Anita, the phone call at the start confuses me, I don't see how it fits.
    My bad.

  11. Omg. Maybe the real Mintu is dead, and her spirit visited the person before fake Mintu came in with the Doctor.

  12. I'm with Rochelle, maybe an angel, but a worm-hole is also possible. That said, I have experienced prayers that have been answered.
