Next Talent

The crowd was getting impatient.

People had come from far to witness their home-grown band 'Next Talent' that had achieved much success.

Pappu and Team were also waiting.

The organizers invited them and had a word with them.

They were soon on stage giving their performance.

They were rock-stars!

Each song was better than the one before.

The crowd went crazy!

The concert was super-hit!

After two hours, there were still shouts of "once more!"

Pappu and Team had tears in their eyes.

It was redemption time.

Their talent had earned due recognition.

'Next Talent' had actually copied their songs.

100 words story for Friday Fictioneers.

Will the copycats be exposed and punished?
Do you believe that those who have been wronged will get their due recognition in this lifetime?

  1. So disappointing. I feel for them. Maybe they'll create something even better.

That had to have been upsetting. it sounds like the copycats will soon be playing a different tune. Well played.

  6. As long as they get the royalties, do they care?

  7. I think it's pretty rare for those who have been wronged by copycats to get what they deserve. Besides, if New Talent can perform the songs successfully, Pappu and Team presumably weren't particularly good performers.

  8. A story of mixed blessings. I'm sure this happens a lot.

  9. I hope Pappu is not Rahul Gandhi :) and Modi stole his lines?

  13. Whoa. Some say that mimicry is the highest form of flattery, but I don't buy it ... Not while it also includes disrespect ... So ... Oy.
