Ever since she was a child, Misu loved cars.
She knew the names of all the
models.
She always said, "When I
grow up, I will have the best car in the city!"

Some relatives laughed.
They reminded her how poor she
and her family was.
"You don’t even have a
decent dress!"
Misu had sensed embarrassment
for daring to dream to own her car.
----:----
That was two decades ago.
Misu now drives the best car in
the world.
She gives talks about her book- 'The Power of a Dream'.
Guess who cheer the loudest in
the audience?
Her parents!

Do you believe in the power of a dream? Do dreams come true?

Perhaps dreams don't come true unless they come true for everybody. I guess it depends what we dream
ReplyDeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteDreams can be powerful if the dreamer is driven to act on them. Good one.
Shalom,
Rochelle
I don't think dreams come true, they are a spark of inspiration. Goals, smart choices, sacrifice and hard work are the key to success. Perhaps I am splitting hairs lol.
ReplyDeleteI like the message though.
I seldom dream,I don't know why.I am always engrossed in the here and now.
ReplyDeleteVery dull,no?
As parents do. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteGood to see a cheery story!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you need to believe and things will come your way
ReplyDeleteGood for her for not giving up on her dreams.
ReplyDeleteNice! :)
ReplyDeleteYou've got to dream first for it to come true later, without dreams we are nothing. Nice one Anita.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful testament to having a dream and not letting others interfere with it. Her parents must be so proud of her <3
ReplyDeleteDreams sometimes come true as do nightmares. Good for her though!
ReplyDeleteWithout hopes and dreams, life would be drudgery. I'm still, at my advanced age, clinging to my dreams :)
ReplyDeleteThe longer I live, the more I feel that living reflectively in the moment is the better choice. I agree that dreams have power when they motivate someone to action, but all too often - and like Misu - the dream is maya, illusion. She will never be satisfied with the best car in the world, because right now in Sweden a Russian oligarch is planning a better car - and only one will be manufactured...
