Climate Action

She was staring blankly.
The lake was dry.
There was not a drop of water anywhere.
She realized that her town was in deep climate crisis.
She felt responsible, but just didn't know what to do next.

That's when he came and stood by her side.
He saw what she saw.
He could see fear in her face.
“No worries! I'm here!"

He got into climate action mode.
He chose the colours, brushes and strokes.

The expert artist made her see what he could see.
The painting came alive.

As she grasped his hand, snowflakes fell on them...

  2. We're not responsible. Nor can we fix this one by one. But we do need the few who can show us a new picture, an alternate future

  3. Dear Anita,

I think it will take more than an artist to fix the climate crisis.

  7. I would not want anyone to finish my painting unless I had died. Same with my book. MY book! Hands off!

  8. A really interesting take on the prompt, thank you. I wouldn't mind if someone finished my painting as I can't draw. My writing though, that's a different story!

  12. Taking this as a metaphor, there can be times of drought in your spiritual or emotional life when you need someone expert to guide your actions. When that happened to me, yes, I allowed someone to help me learn better ways of thinking about life.

  13. It would be wonderful if we could fix the climate issues with a few brush strokes. I wouldn't mind if someone finished my work if they did so with my permission. Nicely done!
