50,000 Rasagola Distribution By UMBS In Bhubaneswar

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

"Distribution of 50,000 Rasagolas", did you ask?
Yes, you read it right!

Today, 50,000 Rasagolas will be distributed by the Utkal Mistanna Byabasayee Samiti (UMBS) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India, at a sweet function planned.
Details:
Venue: Jayadeb Bhavan, Bhubaneswar
Time: 10 AM to 2 PM
Date: 19th August, 2019

It will certainly be a sweet affair to attend and remember!
UMBS has invited important Govt. officials and key resources who have been associated with Odisha Rasagola.
This event is open for all. All are welcome!
If you at Bhubaneswar, you know where to head to.
The special occasion for this sweet celebration is - Odisha has earned the GI tag for Odisha Rasagola.
Three weeks ago, on July 29, 2019, the news of this much-awaited GI tag filled us all with delight.
UMBS was the co-applicant of the Odisha Rasagola GI application that was filed by OSIC on February 23, 2018.
It took 1.5 years to process the application.
But, no one can deny Odisha's continuing tradition and Puri Shree Jagannath Ratha Jatra's link with Rasagola.
In Odia, we say- "Ratha Jatra jebethu, Rasagola sebethu." It means- Rasagola is as old as the Ratha Jatra.

The place of origin of Rasagola, Odisha, has a centuries-old connection with this dessert.
TOI
This is time to celebrate the triumph of truth over lies and fake news that have been spread over the years.

    1. Thank you so much for supporting the Rasagola cause. It's a matter of great pride that Odisha has earned the GI tag for 'Odisha Rasagola'. This has been possible thanks to Lord Jagannath's grace and everyone's contribution and participation. Glad that more number of people are now aware about Rasagola's link with Odisha's culture.
Our hashtag #RasagolaDibasa was started in 2015 for creating awareness about our centuries-old tradition of Niladri Bije and celebration on the last day of Ratha Jatra.
Have been requesting all to use our spelling of 'Rasagola' - without double 'l'. Please take care.
