Little Sam was excited to get ready for his first train journey.
He had just seen the pictures
of trains in his books and videos of trains on TV and internet!
He would get to finally experience a
real train!
He held on to his mother's dress.
She was busy with her cellphone.

Suddenly, a burly man pushed
his mother.
He picked Sam up and started
running towards another train that had started moving in the opposite
direction.
Sam's mother and Sam were both
screaming.
Though it was broad daylight,
no one came to their rescue.
"CUT!" said the cinema-director.
(Author's Note- The filmmaker was making films for social awareness. Sam, his mother, and the burly man were actors!)
Would you come to the rescue if you find a kidnapping or robbery happening right in front of you? Do share in the comments below.(Author's Note- The filmmaker was making films for social awareness. Sam, his mother, and the burly man were actors!)

ReplyDeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteQuite a build of tension in this piece until the director yelled, "cut." What a relief.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Nice misdirection, I was sensing a horrible ending coming!
ReplyDeleteThe CUT was at the right time! Wonder how train stations look in your country:) Thank you for visiting my C-word!

Smartly executed!
ReplyDeleteto your question, I would if I could
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that was a film in the making. Most likely I would call 911 immediately.
ReplyDeleteThat's a neat take on the prompt! I think if I witnessed a robbery or kidnapping I would try to photograph with my phone. It would probably be more effective than trying to intervene.
ReplyDeleteWhew! I was really stressed. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteThank goodness it was a movie set!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad it was only a film - notone I would watch, though!
ReplyDeleteGlad this was a movie set. You pose a good question. I guess I would summon help if needed.
ReplyDeletedropping by from the ABCWed linkup.
That was a tense moment. Glad just a movie. Yes, I would help if I saw an attempted abduction! I would at minimum obstruct the person from getting away as I dialed 911 and waited for law enforcement to show up.
ReplyDeleteYikes. That had me worried, until the twist at the end. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove the suspense.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing a great post!
