When the new bride entered their home after marriage, she was in for scrutiny.
The once lush green trees shed all their leaves overnight.
The guests and neighbours discussed in hushed whispers.
"Such a bad sign!", "Is she a witch?", "This family is doomed."
Everyone gave the new bride a dirty look.
She never stopped being awesome and continued radiating her inner glow.
She knew that just like the ghosts, on those trees, had attained salvation, her presence would bring in tremendous change.
Soon, the trees started sporting new leaves again.
The nearly-dead rose-bush gifted two roses for the bride.

Wonderful story of renewal and faith in oneself. I wonder what the gossiping crowd thinks about the roses.
ReplyDeleteNever stop being awesome, what good advice! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat little tale of hope and self-confidence. Love the tie in with the prompt. Thanks for taking part.
ReplyDeleteHopefully, she can bring about a positive change in everyone's mindset too!!
ReplyDeleteCleverly crafted with good moral
ReplyDeleteNicely done.
ReplyDeleteNature becomes a friend and gifts her roses? Great symbolism.
ReplyDeleteI hope her family supported her and weren't like those nasty neighbours. Well done.
ReplyDeleteBut did the neighbours accept her then?
ReplyDeleteNice turnaround because she stayed awesome. I like that!
ReplyDeleteSe has the right attitude. As Kung Fu Panda would say 'Embrace your awesomeness' :-)
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like a force for renewal and change. There's an air of mystery here that's very intriguing.
ReplyDeleteNever be conquered by the harsh talking neighbors. I am glad she became a heroine in this.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice.
