Please Forgive Me

Amar often thought of his friend Zaid.

He wondered where his special childhood friend was.

To his pleasant surprise, he heard a song that Zaid often used to sing.

The rich voice came from across the border.

The song reminded him of their boat-trips in which they were a team.

Amar was sure it was Zaid.

Zaid's song had flooded memories in Amar's mind.

"ZAID?! AMAR HERE!" Amar screamed out loud.

"Hey Amar! Long time, buddy! How have you been?"
"Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place." – Zora Neale Hurston
"Won't we share a hug?"

"Please forgive me..." both said.

There was heavy firing from both sides of the border.

I am very upset with the cross-border firing and war-like situation and loss of so many innocent lives...
What do you feel about war? Can we kill someone and ask for forgiveness or vice-versa?

  1. All this violence in the world is very sad and distressing. Don't know why we can't live together in harmony. Unfortunately political agendas override individual agendas.

  4. People on either side are not bad, it's the politics that is dirty. May God give good sense to the citizens all over the world. Good story, Anita
