“He might have escaped by taking the bus or train.”
“Perhaps by the gondola...”
The two sleuths continued their conversation at the café overlooking the area where they lost track of the mysterious man, who they suspected was a terrorist.

“How does he always know our plans?”
“This is the third time he has escaped in the last week.”

The pretty waitress checked the latest messages on her phone.
She was receiving top-secret info that was meant for one of the spies!
That’s how she always escaped!
The sleuths didn’t know that it was ‘she’, who was spying on them.

Have you ever received messages that were not intended for you? What did you do? Do share in the comments below.

  2. Reminds me of a Sydney Sheldon novel . I don't remember the name.An assassin is described throughout the novel and at the very end it's revealed that it's a she . Good one

  3. I like your twist. But I hope the criminal does get caught. Several months ago, I got an email that was not intended for me, but I thought it was and responded. I still think it was a passive-agressive act by the sender to me.

  9. Nope, never received an unintended message--but I do think it's a good gimmick for this story :)
