Ultimately truth is truth & its power is here to stay.Truth is truth even if no one believes in it.Lie is lie even if everyone believes in it.
Truth will emerge and kick the lies out of its way!
Truth wins! Truth will win at the end and be known to all.
Lie will be defeated as truth will conquer and stand tall.
Then, why do people queue to lie & resort to lies feeling it's fine?
Why the numbers of supporters are so less in the truth line?
But, it's truth that is long-term and the ultimate resolution.
Why run after momentary pleasures via lies that will not last?
They will be surely blown away by the strong truth blast!
Learn & accept the truth; help in the proper depiction.
Truth arrives with its rewards despite the obstruction.
Speak the truth and learn to live a true life without lies!
Isn't this how things should be? Truth is nice & wise!

Yes, Anita! I love how you contrast short-term and long-term as it's that very difference that makes half-truths seem so alluring. We need the long view, for sure.
ReplyDeletegreat theme to this poem... I like the short term-long term comparison
ReplyDeleteYou examined this thoroughly! Now no one can deny how important truth is.
ReplyDeleteI like how optimistic and peppy the tone of your poem is
ReplyDeleteVery true. The truth will ultimately come out. I just hope it happens in time and not too late.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cliff hanger
ReplyDelete"But, it's truth that is long-term and the ultimate resolution."
Much♥️love
I like to think there is one truth, but there are an endless number of interpretations of it.
ReplyDeleteYes, the truth will out but sadly not before many people are hurt by lies.
ReplyDelete...and someone's lie could also be someone else's truth.
ReplyDeleteIntention is greater considering there is no absolute lie or truth
I love the wisdom of your words Anita and indeed truth is a truth and a lie is a lie.
ReplyDeleteYet I agree with Sumandebray in that someone else's lie is anothers truth. Our perception of this world is based on individual beliefs, truths if you like. And we may be wrong...

I do not have as much faith as you. For what is true for you, may not be true for me. If only your vision would be true.
ReplyDeleteWonderful words...truth is like beauty, in the eye of the beholder… at least that is my opinion...
ReplyDeleteLies.. Liars.. not my cup of tea

ReplyDeleteVery nicely penned.
ReplyDeleteDont mind but after certain experiences of my life and through the incidents in the surroundings i have started to believe neither the "truth" nor the "Lies" win rather the mighty one wins.
How very well explained the contrast between truth and lies. Onus is on us, which one we pick. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWise words, Anita, so profound! To speak our own truths is how we rise in this journey of life. To realize the ultimate truth is how we find a meaning in the journey.
