"There is a priceless treasure in our backyard!" holding his hand his dying father had said.
"It must be the truth", he thought as those were the last words of his father on his death-bed.
As an enterprising twenty-year-old, he had commenced his treasure-hunt digging-job earnestly.
At age 70, even after half a century, his hard-work & quest for truth is still in progress actually.

'Garden of Hope', nurtured with care, has herbs & flowers rare that attract visitors & awards instead!
Seeing the backyard & all the honors earned, he wonders about the true treasure & the truth unsaid...

Wise father finds a way to pass a true treasure to his son. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteThe father was clever to motivate his son so effectively. But the son was wise, realising that he could benefit from rare flowers and herbs even as he sought the truth about the treasure. I'm not sure I'm always good at doing that, although I try.
