Life started on Planet Earth thanks to water; for life, water is main.
In today's world, towards water incomprehensible is the disdain...
"Rain-water harvesting" & "conserving water" sounds lame?
Why for such efforts of judicious water-usage aren't we game?
Dripping taps, open pipes... allowing water to flow down the drain...
"Water is wealth", "Water is precious" & we all pray for the rain.
Need to start conserving water & make others do the same.
Else, when future generations face problems, we'll earn blame.
Imagine after death, getting reborn on Planet Earth again!
Are we willing to endure possibility of water-less world's pain?
When drops of water unite, lake, river, sea, ocean...is the name.
When world-citizens join together, a better planet is ours to claim!
Come, let's all learn to use water wisely as 'water conservation' is sane.

Do guests leave half-glass when you serve a full-glass of water?
Isn't it our responsibility to ensure everyone becomes smarter?

Thanks for your comment on my post on Ronald McDoald. I belong to a bereaved group, and one of the things we tell people not to do, is tell the bereaved that it is God's will.
ReplyDeleteYou've said it perfectly. 'judicious water usage' is the need of the hour yet here in India dripping taps and open pipes are a common sight...ugh...
ReplyDeleteAustralia is the driest continent on earth so water is a big topic and consideration here. Also our individual electricity and water charges are among the highest in the world so we are forced to be careful.Your water saving tips are good . In rural areas we are even more careful....for the toilet if its mellow yellow we dont flushafter each use, There are also compost toilets which use no water at all.Permaculture is practised for gardening.Rocks provide moisture (condensation)mulching with cardboard and newspaper fertilises and retains moisture.Water crystals are good too. I have a garden which I rarely water. It stays alive in drought conditions.Initial preparation,choice of plants and positioning is critical to the survival.

ReplyDeleteThose of us with ample water supply cannot appreciate the plight of those who walk miles for a bucket of water. We so need to take better care of Mother Earth!

ReplyDeleteI was with you all the way until your last words "...a better planet for ours to claim". Sadly it is not ours to claim but we a just a small part of the whole and have been misbehaving in our use and abuse of the planet especially her precious water.!

ReplyDeleteYes, I think water is so important to save! I think there used to be a law that prevented Californians from saving rainwater, and I never understood it. Why not save that water and store it for your garden when there's a drought so that you aren't wasting precious drinking water on your plants?
