Budhia Singh At Nepal - Day 4

Budhia Singh from Bhubaneswar, India, was invited by the Nepal Government to participate in the "Lumbini To Mount Everest Peace Run 2017".

17th May 2017 - Day 4 - Kathmandu To Kalinga

The last day of our Nepal trip began early. After a quick breakfast, Prof.Dr.Panth, Budhia Singh, Marathon Man Amar Subba & I checked out of our hotel to set out for Swayambhunath.
The entire team was already ready. The Peace Run commenced at this ancient heritage temple of Swayambhunath.

The Team made multiple rounds (parikrama) with the PeaceTorch.
They made both running up and down the stairs look so easy!

From there, the Team- Baikuntha Manandhar, Budhia Singh, Amar Subba, Deepak Rai & some organisers started for the heritage site of Boudhanath.
The Peace Run was held at the sacred Boudhanath Temple.

Budhia looked peaceful while running with the Peace Torch at the Boudhanath Temple.

The Team even ran on the upper level of the Boudhanath Temple. It is said to symbolise attainment of higher spiritual goals.
After seven rounds, the Peace Run at Boudhanath Temple was complete.

Budhia, Prof Dr.Panth and I had to take leave. While the rest of the Team was to continue their Peace Run journey to the Mount Everest base camp. The Team is to reach there on May 27th, 2017. On May 29th, the Everest Marathon will commence there in which many participants from all over the world will take part.

We had an hour free before we had to start for the airport and for 'Kalinga' - that's how Odisha is called even now.
Budhia wanted to shop as the previous day, he had been unable to find what he was looking for. Luckily, we found his choice.

Then, it was time to bid bye to the gracious hosts and the wonderful host-country.
We carry your memories, Nepal... Sure to last us a lifetime.
Thank you so much for the warm hospitality!
