When life is terrible & seems quite a pain;
You're overburdened with stress & strain;
Nothing's right, no matter what you do;
How to approach life, you have no clue...
Clouds of negativity blur your vision;
Drops of fear & anxiety hamper your mission.
Whatever you do, Choose Life, Don't give up!
Carry on your quest to earn the Victory cup!
Sometimes we are very close to our target,
We know not our real position, still fret!
Quitters never win & Winners never quit.
Do your best & win! To win you are fit!
What do you feel about "Quitting"? Do you motivate yourself not to quit?

Love that diamond mine image. Too funny and sometimes too true. I'd like to quit this A to Z challenge, because it's so hard to find time to comment and there are so many other things I could be doing with my time, but I'll keep on plugging. Only a week or so left to go.

I hear you! I'm really having trouble finding time to visit more than a half-dozen blogs a day, and not getting any writing done at all. But I'll finish this month, even if I don't do it again next year.

I am not normally a quitter, but I have found that there are times to quit and it can be freeing, especially if it is stubbornness that keeps me going more than the goal.

Ah yes! That drawing has been an inspiration to me for a while! Often times when I want to quit, I remind myself of my "why" and how there are bigger things in store for me. Quitting is the easy way out sometimes - but easy isn't what grows us.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from the A to Z Challenge. You can see my "Q" post here: https://lydiahowe.com/2017/04/20/q-is-for-questions-atozchallenge-also-time-for-yall-to-ask-questions/
Quitting can be really tempting when we don't get what we want in time. Takes a special resilience to keep going despite everything. Poem is pretty good, Anita.

Your all posts are really valuable.
ReplyDeleteGood inspiration and reminder, though I also agree with Sage that sometimes quitting is the right thing. We'll call it a strategic retreat on those occasions :)

Great poem.It could be put to a rap.
ReplyDeleteof course I try to motivate myself not to quit but sometimes it's easier to convince yourself to quit because sometimes quitting is the answer. you may argue that we all must carry on even through the struggle but sometimes quitting can lighten the burden or not.
ReplyDeletehave a lovely day.
~ my Q post - Query - ask me anything~
No matter how difficult it is one must never quit. Loved the way you have conveyed this message through your poem.
ReplyDeleteIn some areas, like problem solving, I am bull dog determined to stick with it till I figure it out.
ReplyDeleteIn other areas, sometimes I decide it is better to cut your losses and move on.

Completely agree with you, Anita, but would like to be a little bit facetious: Sometimes quitting is winning. Quit smoking :)
ReplyDeleteQuitting's for quitters, not me!
ReplyDeleteAnother day in Amble Bay!
To quit is to admit you really did not want it so bad after all. I don't know if that is an original quote, I doubt it, but I find it is very true. Good luck as you enter the final week of the challenge.
