When Opposites Kissed

Chosen as a WOW post here
I may glow like the moon,
And have the world at my feet.
But, I dream of a great life soon,
My true love I'd love to meet.

You may be an ocean vast,
With mysteries & treasures deep,
But, better share your feelings fast!
With faith, you must take the leap.

We are from different worlds, they say.
Not destined to even come near...
You are on earth, while I'm far away.
Do opposites ever kiss, my dear?

When I found myself questioning this,
Facts of our lives shook their heads sadly.
But, opposites kissed; with union & bliss!
We wrote the story (yet unwritten) gladly!

Wrote wishing to star in a story where-
You're you & I'm me; we salute our identity.
We care; no negative elements that scare!
Together it's magical & a sweet reality.

And then I woke up with a start & realized-
It was just a dream that gave an indication-
When opposites kiss, never ever be surprised!
Write the story yet unwritten with imagination!

Is it possible for opposites to kiss? Is it possible to write the story yet unwritten?

  6. This is an awesome poem, I really like it, it is the epitome of life. The struggle is real, how can you fly when you do not have wings...You make it easy writing this when I am having a hard time with my 15 page research paper. This is the story of our life that even if the world is against you there is always a way to make the tide in your direction, that you may be able to sail wherever you want to go.
