A Bottle Of Happiness

As she started on her mission,
She knew it would not be fun.
She wanted 'a bottle of happiness',
Laughter, hope & humour to refresh.

She seemed to obey her heart's demand.
She was sick of all the hatred on land.
Is such a bottle available anywhere?
If yes, it'd be rare for anyone to share!

She searched near & far, high & low.
On the way, many shared what they know-
The naked truth is- no riches can purchase,
'A bottle of happiness' that we hunt & chase.

Our hunger for happiness may be a hook,
But, efforts are needed for the happy look!
Piercing gaze & hunting eyes; need to be wise!
The bottle of happiness is here; just recognize!

  2. Your poem already says it ...

No i do not search for it, i know and recognize it, and i am very glad about that too.
I so much, can enjoy the littlest things and feel very happy about it... I believe that what is needed, is right in front of you, if you search for it, you'll never find it because you overlook it.

  3. What a delightful little Ode Anita, so true.
I'm never looking for happiness because I'm pleased to say I am surrounded by it.
I feel it and see it every day. I live in a cosy home with my husband and cuddly cat, and my precious family nearby.
I have one daughter and her family living 200 miles away but we see them as often as we can.
You don't need lots of money to be happy, just love and consideration....
    Best wishes,
    Di,

  4. I think the bottle of happiness is right in front of us if we look. Sometime we search far and wide thinking happiness must be OUT there somewhere, as you said. I like the point you made about riches not being able to buy happiness. So very true!
