About The Muse

When he first saw the maiden fair,
It was love at first sight pure & rare.
While he fell in  love, she didn't care...
Photo-prompt - Magpie Tales; clicked by Ed Ross
He found her perfect; to woo her he was game.
He sought her attention, she found him lame.
When he invited her for a date, she never came!

Like others, he sought her time and company,
She had no time to spare for her admirers many!
A harrowing time for him & her; both were zany!
Picture-Prompt- Magpie Tales
He saw what no one else did; sensed her everywhere.
Top to bottom, front to back- she was beyond compare.
All he wanted to do is just comfortably stare and stare...

He wrote poems about her, expressing his love.
His love and love-poems became his treasure-trove-
Earned him riches as generous were the heavens above.

Then one fine day his perfect creation took notice of him!
She walked up, flashed her smile, took a sudden whim!
Magic of fame & fortune- he was no more imperfect or dim!

  3. The climax is about his success as a poet and failure as a lover because she notices him only for his fame but not for his love, is this interpretation right? I usually open dictionary aside while reading your poems... and I learn. So, just wanted to clarify what I understood is right.

  4. The rich and famous is a catch that may easily fizzle off fast, the way they came. Happened often times. Very observant Anita!

  23. Delightful! The idea of the muse interests me so much, but are they always ethereal and very classically beautiful, or can they be something different?
