Order! Order! World Is Remade!

yada yada hi dharmasya
glanir bhavati bharata
abhyutthanam adharmasya
  tadatmanam srjamyaham

-The Bhagwad Gita

English Transalation: "O descendant of Bharata! Whenever and wherever there is a decline in virtue, and a predominant rise of vices, then I Myself descend."

As there has been a decline in values in the world, and now that this is 'Kali Yuga', I have been waiting for the Tenth Avatar of Lord Vishnu - Kalki Avatar for long as I want Him to restore order.

I love the way order is restored in court scenes in Bollywood movies. Judge sahib just has to strike his gavel and say, ‘Order! Order!’

Wooden gavel ; Source- Wikipedia

But, there’s no such magic happening in our real life, society, and world.

I often pray- May noble thoughts come to us from all sides.- Rig Veda

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (The whole world is a family)

“Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha, (May all be Happy)

Sarve Santu Niramaya, (May all be Free from Disease)

Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu, (May all have Well-Being)

Ma Kaschit Dukhkha Bhaga Bhavet” (May there never be Sadness)

YES

If I could remake the world, I would put hope, optimism, smiles...

Where there’s joy, laughter and peace across miles!

Where values, morals, conscience, tolerance are great.

Where everyone is nice, truthful, warm and compassionate.

Discipline, Tolerance, Happiness, Humility, Patience, Justice,

Faith, Understanding, Trust, The Language of Love, Peace...

Restore our world to a Previous Time/Date.

Restore Factory Settings in our world’s fate!

Remake the Wonders like the Sun Temple & art & architecture,

Restore all wonders around the world to their original splendour...

NO

No unhappiness, tears, fears, bribes, woes, negative echoes.

No Terrorists, Cheats, Evil, Unethical, Criminals, Liars, Foes.

No Thefts, Greed, Hatred, Jealousy, Madness, Anger, Murders, Rapes,

No Corruption, Unfairness, Dishonesty, Pessimism, Depression, Red-tape...

No treachery, Bomb-Attack, Missiles, conflict, killings, slander of the innocent,

No kid is raped, falls into open borewell, or YetAnother Avoidable Accident...

No Super-Cyclones, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Floods or any natural disasters,

No pot-holed or water-logged roads or poor transportation or borders or soldiers.

"As human beings, our greatness lies not so much in being able to remake the world - that is the myth of the atomic age - as in being able to remake ourselves."
- Mahatma Gandhi

Many times we don’t know what we want.

"If I'd asked my customers what they wanted, they'd have said a faster horse."
- Henry Ford

At times, we may predict the future wrongly.

"Everything that can be invented has been invented."

At other times, we are bang on!

"The best way to predict the future is to invent it.
– Peter Drucker

I want a world where knowledge & wisdom reign.

"By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."
- Confucius

Wisdom, Education, Values & Empowerment for all

In my world, everyone is a thinker and has original ideas and inventions.

There's access, Skills use, equal opportunities and jobs for all.

Nyaya, Dharma, Satyameva Jayate – Justice, Virtue, Truth Wins

Good values like honesty & integrity and good character triumph.

Technology & Digital Communication & Benefits
Technological advancements and access for all.

Equality, Justice, Peace & Safety for all; No Violence  & Injustice

No discrimination on the grounds of gender, race, religion, language, skin-colour, country... No poverty. Size doesn't matter. A hatred-free world where there are no inhuman killings like the Peshawar School attack or those by the new barbarians-ISIS.

Clean & Green World- Physically & Mentally

A world with clean surroundings, thoughts & actions.

In Environment or in human minds no trace of any Pollution.

A world with greenery & renewable energy solution.

Roti, Kapda, Makaan & Jobs for all- Food, Clothes, Homes & Jobs

Basic needs of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs will be met. The individuals have to go for higher needs & attain Self-actualization.

A working world where no one is lethargic or “idle” as “an idle mind is a devil’s workshop.”

Smooth & Reliable Governance & Facilities

Responsible, Transparent, Accountable, No Corruption.
Rule adherence- Traffic rules in place, safety, and no accidents.
Healthcare for all- No deadly diseases like Cancer or Swine Flu

We create our future by our thoughts and actions.
Time to replay, revitalize, resurrect, reaffirm...

Some inspiring quotes to remake our world:

You are what your deep, driving desire is.
As your desire is, so is your will.
As your will is, so is your deed.

As your deed is, so is your destiny.
- Brihadaranyaka Upanishad IV 4.5

"Destiny is no matter of chance. It’s a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.”
- William Jennings Bryan

"The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new."
– Socrates

The past has gone, why pine?

The present moment is to shine.

RENEW, REINVENT & REIMAGINE!

Plan & act for the future & win!

  1. It is as though humanity is made up of two opposing peoples. Greed, envy cruelty have always won out over love, compassion and sharing. All we can do is exactly what you have done here and demonstrate the benefits of a peaceful loving world where all can coexist happily. Sadly that day is far off for so many.

  3. So much wonderful thought contained in this piece that I hardly know where to start with it. I loved the concept of restoring the world to "factory settings" and I will remember it. It made me smile! Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could do that? And perhaps also if we could restore people to the original settings of their birth, when their spirits are still whole and perfect and their destiny is written in the stars, and not yet trampled into the ground? I love your vision for a kinder, gentler world based on principles of love, peace, and mutual good. I should like to live in your world! Perhaps if we all come together we can make the world we do have a better place for all to live!

  6. Vow! what a thorough post Anita. Unfortunately we are gaining wisdom through experiences which is the bitterest one.

  7. I think one of my favorite quotes here (and it shocks me that of all that is here I chose this one) is the one from Henry Ford... it just proves that we don't know what we want or what is possible...
