Ever since I learnt my name- Anita's meaning,
My confidence shot up & I started grinning :D
I believed that as my name means 'Graceful',
I can carry off any & every style & be blissful!
Jeans or Leggings with a simple top or Kurti,
Traditional Lehnga, Salwar-suit or Saree pretty...
Mix and match Indian with Western wear & fusion,
I carry off styles; charting new paths with no confusion!

I was game for their expert stylist to take over!
Simple, groovy or elegant- whatever my style,
I add value by never forgetting my genuine smile :)

ReplyDeleteKurtis are like long tops worn in India, Rosemary. One can pair them with Jeans, Skirts or Parallels.
DeleteYou must visit India to take your pick of bright and attractive Kurtis, Shirts, Skirts, Pants etc. India has a variety of clothes in great quality Cotton, Silk and other materials.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your maiden comment! Glad you liked them :)
DeleteWhat a lovely poem to express yourself, Anita! Loved it! I like the last stanza, especially... 'Beauty' is difficult to explain, when talking about external one. There is no definition for it. Everyone is beautiful, if looked into the inner beauty and at the same time, nobody will remain beautiful if we don't know to appreciate. Only a person who is beautiful from inside, can be full of grace! And we can see that in you, dear :)
ReplyDeleteNice to know that Anita means graceful :) It is so apt for you!
TC! Keep smiling :)
Truly Sindhu. I agree with you.
DeleteBeauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. No matter what the world thinks, we are what we actually are! Deep down we know that!
Thanks for your nice & beautiful words :)
TC! Keep smiling :)
Beautiful as always!

DeleteAnita is found in many languages. As per info in the Wikipedia, in Sanskrit it means- "full of grace, mercy, favor, variety, a leader, without guile."
Anita is common world wide :)
