What comes to your mind when you think of the number 5 or Five?
The 5 Pandava brothers of the Mahabharata?
Or
The Letter "E", the 5th alphabet?
Or
The Letter "U", the 5th vowel?
Or
Jupiter, the 5th planet of the Solar-System?
....
This is the year 2015! Happy New Year!
The number 5 is there in the New Year too!
Recently, my Blogger-friend Sarav aka Someone Is Special - Few Miles celebrated a special event- his Blog's 5th Anniversary!
Sarav is a senior Software Engineer by profession, a Writer by passion & a Photographer by choice. His blog reflects his obsession with words & pics.
To mark the special occasion of his Blog's 5th Anniversary, Sarav creatively invited some Blogger-friends to write guest-posts on the theme- "Five"!
My post was the fifth post of the guest post series.
Thanks to the invitation, I wrote a poem- "Five" about 5.

For me, 5 is my lucky number. We all have 5 fingers in each of my hand and leg.
ReplyDeleteA good one to celebrate fifth anniversary of Sarav's blog
ReplyDelete5 reminds me of the fifth day of lunar cycle, Panchami :) It also reminds me of the festivals list which Amma has taught which srarts with Paadya (prathama) till Paurnami and Amavasya...

ReplyDeleteSome very unusual thoughts on the number 5, and your poem is thoughtful. I would also think of five fingers, and congrats to Sarav for his 5th anniversary.

5 to me represents the number of my siblings. Me and my 4 besties. 5 years was my longest relationship. I hope the 5 in 2015 bring me abundance. :)Happy new year!
ReplyDeleteWell, five reminds me of my blogger friend whose first name contains five letter - ANITA :)
ReplyDeleteI think of "High Five", is a hand gesture that occurs when two people simultaneously raise one hand each, about head-high, and push, slide, or slap the flat of their palm .. This gesture is seen more and more ...
ReplyDeleteI wish you a wonderful year!
