Hand-In-Hand

As she woke up, she felt great & grand.
He handed her a bouquet & kissed her hand.

His strong hands had rescued her years ago,
When their boat capsized, he didn't let her flow.

They had exchanged rings & got married that winter.
Hand-in hand; the heaviest snowfall didn't deter.

So much warmth, care, love & camaraderie together!
This hand-in-hand pair was envied as a couple rare!

Their hands conjure magic & cheer like their first date!
Today their 40th wedding anniversary they celebrate!

Hand-in-hand they have covered miles near & far,
Togetherness forever- they wish upon a star…

  7. This is a very good 'story' and one we can wish on many people. I wondered whether you were writing about your parents. Mine have been together for 52 years.

I unconsciously mentioned 40. But, from your comment I realize that had my Mom not suddenly left us for her heavenly abode, my parents would have celebrated their 40th anniversary after 2 years...
52 Years! That's more than Golden Jubilee! Best wishes to your parents!
