Creative Power

All she wanted was to be calm in a quiet place.
She made her own nest by the bridge near the river.
In her own world, she moved at her own pace.
She never thought her happiness made others quiver!

They broke the bridge & announced their presence.
Her creativity, goodness & power remained unaffected.
They hadn’t yet seen the bigger picture through the lens.
They yearned to be like her; their envious old-self was dead…

Creativity is contagious, pass it on. – Albert Einstein

  2. Beautifully written poem, and a message that I believe too... people are often jealous of others who seem to possess something they don't have or understand. Jealous leads to attempts to destroy what that one has. Sad, but true. It sounds like t his girl doesn't let their efforts deter her!

People are jealous. Some are destructive & try to damage/dishonor/disparage... Deep down they wish to be like the person they envy! Hope creativity's power makes everyone becomes a better human-being :)

  4. I think that for a long time I was my harshest critic and it was the words of a friend who encouraged me to write poetry and then to paint. When I finally made the plunge I was glad and grateful I had.

  5. I think many of us seek to be calm in a quiet place, especially this season of the year! I think each of needs to find a nest in which we find comfort.

I like your question, Anita. I do think our calm can be affected by others in whose presence we move. That is why sometimes we have to leave those 'others' for a time and retreat to our own space!

    Always good to see you!

  6. This is a beautiful and very inspiring poem Anita :) Creations may get destroyed but creativity will never... You have presented it very well dear...
Creativity is within all of us... As I have experienced, creativity is expressed better during heavy pressure either external or internal. When that pressure makes us to forget everything else... At that particular moment, nothing can distract us! I mean to say that no outside noise can influence us if we are immersed into what we are doing.

    TC! Keep smiling :)

Yes, may we not get affected by others and maintain our peace & calm. Much needed to pursue our creativity.
Why be lost or allow creativity to be lost?

      Thanks! TC! Keep smiling :)
