Queen's Queer Quest

The river-bank had a visitor- a royal guest.
The Queen was working & looked busy.
The onlookers had no clue about her quest.
They felt a Queen's life is fun & easy.

Everyone had a quizzical expression on their face.
What's the Queen searching like one possessed?
Picking pebbles seemed like some queer chase...
Collecting pebbles made the Queen feel blessed?

No one knew about her dream last night-
At the river-bank she had found a jewel.
Will that pretty pebble appear in real to sight?
Her eyes keenly hunted for that red pebble.

The Queen continued her quest sincerely.
Time went past with no trace of the red one.
"Is quitting wisdom?" asked the Queen quizzically.
"No, will search till I have the light of the sun."

Just then, at the river-bank, a Dolphin appeared!
Much to everyone's amazement, it started talking!
All were bewildered; the Queen didn't find it weird!
You see, this had been her dream's beginning...

    1. Yes, definitely!
She had seen the Dolphin in the beginning of her dream & her dream has come true.
The Queen's quest of the pebble should be reality too :)

  3. Pebbles are little gems ... like holding a tiny bit of geological eternity in your hand.

  4. Queen quest is quite well expressed. Pebbles to queen seems like diamond to common man :)

  11. Wonderful, wonderful story! I love that everyone thought the Queen weird and foolish for looking for pebbles which surely had such little value. Little did they know she had a purpose and a motivation that wasn't clear to them! How often that is true in life, others don't really know us or why we do the things we do. What seems foolish may indeed be wise. Dreams can tell us many things, help us find things, warn us of things. I believe in their power and guidance!
