Reflections

A pretty lady visited my Blog recently & commented anonymously-
Her words expressed heartily claimed that I'm terribly dumb & ugly...

I was quizzically amused as I have been least bothered about my looks!
God has been kind; I have always been in a majority’s good books!

'Handsome is the man who handsome does'- I believe & I know.
'Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder'- even if he/she’s your foe!

The mirror reflects a lot more than we can dare to see & shows our size...
Can't blame the mirror if its reflections our strained eyes can't recognize!

My 100 Words Poem for-

#TellHisStory

Indispire Edition#33- Topic idea proposed by Yours Truly-  "Why is the world so focused on physical assets- bank-balance, material-possessions, external beauty/body/cleavage...? What's the value of good thoughts, clear heart, inner beauty & values like honesty, discipline etc. today? What is important to you?"

  7. Did that really happen to you Anita?....Obviously if so this person feels insecure and is lashing out. You are beautiful inside and out...and your words and your blog reflect that beauty. :-)

Yes indeed! I agree with you about the small-kids!
Kids openly indulge in name-calling & then become friends in the next instant!
Not the case with adults though who use anonymity!

  12. Oh please, cyber bullies are everywhere. Don't mind them. If that person is brave s/he would have commented with a name and not anonymously.

Cheers to us who are too happy to see the ugly. Too blessed to be stressed.

And to the haters, well thank them for their time and attention. That's something that can't be taken back. Not your time wasted but theirs. :D

  16. Dear Beautiful good of u to bring me here because this feels like a prayer. Yeah reflections that r deep enough r prayers too even if the VENERATED word is missing because this is how Kabir spoke, or Surdas or for that matter anyone who is clear and can clearly see the truth speaks.
    “बुरा जो देखण मैं चला, बुरा ना मिलया कोए
    जो मन खोजा अपना, तो मुझसे बुरा ना कोए”
    ― Kabir
    कली खोटा जाग आंघरा, सब्द न माने कोय |
    चाहे कहूँ सत आइना, जो जग बैरी होय ||
    -Kabir
Hope u understand the first...if not do let me know i shall explain.
u surely r gifted to have said it in a beautiful composition what i took pages to write. Thank you dear friend.
    Love.

Need to take the exact translations of his Dohas from you. I am inspired to write a post on Kabir :)
We had his Dohas in Hindi language in school. Very wise & deep.

The way we see or perceive depends on our eyes.
The mirror can't be blamed if we are not nice :)

Thanks for your lovely words of appreciation!

  17. Okay the first one Bura jo dekhan main chala , bura naa milya koye Jo munn khoja apnaa, to mujhsey bura naa koye. This is very beautiful and deep.
I searched for the crooked, met not a single one When i searched myself, " I " found the crooked one.
"This doha deals with the perception behavior and tendencies. It has been invariably noticed that we tend to find fault with someone else for our situations and circumstances. Our " I " ego , always tries to put blame on others. Non -awareness of our own self is the cause of this attitude. Resultantly , we find we find ourselves being busy criticizing and condemning others and conveniently term them as crooked and evil. So Kabir says that instead of finding fault and maligning others, dive deep into your own -self. Amazingly, an honest introspection will reveal that all fault lies within " me" and " my" own perception and attitudes. Correcting this and opting for a loving and compassionate attitude will change one's perception and the world will appear wonderful all over again. "
Thank You Anita for that one...The way we see or perceive depends on our eyes. The mirror can't be blamed if we are not nice. Beautiful . Do read my latest because my NOTES no 1 this one is specifically meant for you...photography that is...you and Bikram of course...
Hugs and lots of love...have a lovely weekend.

  18. The second one of Kabir dohe-
Kali Khota jag aandhra, shabad na maane koy jaahi kahun hitt aapanaa sou thhee bairee hoy
kali meaning this age Kaliyug...the corrupt age, Shabad meaning words of God...u can say even say the Ten Commandments or Guru Gobind's words or the words of Allah or Mohammad the Prophet...of love...of Compassion...of Truth...
Kabir says this corrupt age of Kaliyug ( Dark Age) no one really believes in SHABAD...for all it's just words that they utter...and forget and when I ( Kabir) speak for their wellness the truth, he/she becomes an enemy of me. When I speak on behalf of one the other turns against me and becomes my foe.
Basically Kabir spoke about oneness of God for he considered himself not binding to any religion or sect. He wanted all to live together in love and harmony and he always spoke the truth which is always bitter. People do not want to hear the truth. Conceit and deception being the order of the day they would turn against him that's what he is trying to say in this doha...
:) Hope u find this helpful dear friend and now rushing back to see ur latest :) :) :)
