Don't watch harassment without any care...
Act & stop "mini-terrorist groups" from functioning.
Together we can stop bad incidents from happening...
If each of us resolved to come to the rescue,
Such terrible & shameful incidents will be few...
All of us need to be strong & be #IndianBraveheart.
Let us all act like humans & play a responsible part.

In broad daylight, some people dare to torment others...while the onlookers look...
The same people- tormentators & onlookers unitedly stand with candles to protest later!
May there be no reasons for candle-marches... Hope all the guilty are brought to book...

DeleteThe last time a vdo lwas posted to me on whatts app i had actually fired my frnds by saying that don't pls keep forwarding such vdos where i see a man die right in front of my eyes... i see no point in such forwards. We r only promoting what depravity already has crept into all of us.
ReplyDeletei remember seeing that Hollywood thriller in which a psychopathic killer would abduct his victims and brutally kill it. No not he, but the entire country would join in to kill the victim. What he wanted to prove, this very brilliant man supposed to be a doctor by qualification, this so called psychopath to the society/world that it is in all of us to watch with thrill the gore...blood and all that pain so long it is not happening to us or to one of our own. This killing was connected to an apparatus that was also satellite linked and the entire procedure of the torture of the victim thus made available live for the world to see and watch. So the moment anyone logged on to see, the killing would be hastened a bit further. Within an hour or so the victim would die a horrific death with the whole frigging world watching. Yeah in their own places cursing that Psychopath but sparing themselves when in reality they actually are also an accomplice.
The catch was the killing was somehow connected to an apparatus. Anyone connecting to the internet to watch the victim the killing clock would register a click. This was made known by the psychopath actually this was announced by the doctor yet the moment the news of the new victim was on air of him or her getting abducted people just wouldn't relent. They have to log on to see and know how bad the the case of the abducted victim was.
Yeah Anita it was quite a gripping movie...i forget the name ...once i remember it i shall share it with you.
Nowadays with all this smartphones...people love taking images of anyone getting electrocuted standing on top of a train bogie or a child getting crushed while crossing the road and quickly forwarding that on whatts app. i wonder if you have seen those wedding marriage mishaps that are being circulated these days. The newly married couple dying horrific deaths...while their capsule flying in the air supposed to land on that flower decorated platform actually crashed with a bang.
i ask...what's wrong with us...
Tell u the truth Anita...everything today...yeah...all tragedy so long it does not affect us is just entertainment.
See it...if it is on fb...press a like then move on. If it has come on whatts app forward and that you must because it is your prime responsibility. That's the way these days.
You are talking about this...well two days back in Delhi on a busy road in broad daylight a young boy was chased by a gang of maybe 6 pulled from a bike and stabbed 16 times...this was also shown in the national news...and no one stopped the gang from all that stabbing...some busy road...sigh..
This is happening everyday...

Yes, I saw it in the news & felt helpless & angry- a young man got stabbed in the broad daylight in Delhi...
Every time I see/read such news, i wonder why am I even watching/reading news. It affects me a lot.
Now with Social Media networking sites & messaging services, everyone wants to "share" all this & be "cool".
Wonder how all this is cool... Our collective psyche & attitude needs a metamorphosis. Deep & urgent treatment required.

Deletethe only part that i liked in kick movie was .. when salman khan was beating everyone else instead of the real culprit initially.. because of this.. Every one is just onlooker these days .. ! instead of helping they want to know the full story how things started so that they can tell these things to other over a cup of tea .. really sad !

We live in such a sad world Anita, people are funny .. EVERY ONE will say this should happen that should happen BUT it seldom happens.. basically we have all become such hypocrites and people with no shame.

It was such a shame to hear about this incident Anita, more than the person doing it I am really enraged at the onlookers, they are watching it as though it is an entertainment show on television. It makes me look at them in disgust, is it that hard to know that there are more than 10 people looking haplessly at one man who can be overpowered in a fraction of a second?!

I was so angry to watch the news that day that I wrote this poem.
If you have read the comments in this post, 2 fellow-Bloggers have raised the "candle" issue here- Abhishek Ghosh & Bikram.
We all do feel strongly about such topics. If we all raise our voice & to be united make a choice, such crimes & candle-marches should STOP.

A man of about 50 was sitting on the aisle seat in the bus and was busy touching any woman who passed by, when I shouted at him everyone was mum even the women whom he had touched. strange world. At least the conductor made him change the seat. I had to be content with that.......

DeleteI protest when I see such things too. Public behavior is in the abyss... Imagine youngsters sit on the seats reserved for "Senior Citizens" while the latter stand without uttering a word...
Happens often. But, I believe once we make a beginning, it'll catch on... Let us all join.
Let us shout & shame these people. But, they are so shameless, perhaps they won't feel anything...

The onlookers are the same people who rage out on twitter when something bad happens and when time comes to actually show their worth they move on to pathetic things like catching a video instead of helping !!! Very very sad plight you have put light on :/ Hopefully people will realize that they are wrong soon :(

Unfortunately, even when one or more persons try to do something, others don't support them. It's not just hypocrisy.
