Body & Intellect

The most amazing thing my body has done-
Is to follow my heart's & brain's instructions!

By God's grace all my body parts are fine.
I feel blessed experiencing God's world divine.

Soaking in the sights through eye-lens,
Touching & feeling sensation makes sense.

Hearing the music & loved ones voices,
Smelling nature & food & having choices!

My body lets me do all this and more.
I wish my body works even in the future...

Even after I'm dead, I want my body to be of use.
That's why to be an Organ Donor I choose...

The gift of life is the best gift one can give...
We can ensure that our body-parts help people live...

  11. Honestly I have seen many people who want to donate their organs, but either they are not fully aware of how to do it, or there is no such facility available in their nearby area, which forces them to stay silent on this issue. I think we bloggers should start a revolution so that the last men of India should even get the information about organ donation...

    1. True Alok. We Bloggers have a lot of power- the power of words.
TOI has started a campaign & website. There have been many ads in the papers for this occasion...
We can share the info for all.

  12. I guess, we bloggers can come together and make a forum where those who are interested for Organ Donation should post their intention and we will provide them the much needed information especially customized for their locality. For this we can make a team of different bloggers from different places....

    1. That's a great suggestion, Alok.
I feel it'll suffice if we share info through our Blogs & word-of-mouth with our near & dear & ask them to do the same.
Websites are already there for the purpose. Let us make the most of our resources!

Thanks for sharing your views. Shows your concern. Wish we all take interest & participate...

    1. Thanks for sharing your comments in lighter vein for this serious issue, Bhavana :)
Brains that haven't been much used have more worth, isn't it? There is so much scope for extra & more!
Actually, brilliant people use a greater percentage/portion of their brain. Let us start making the most of our intellect!

  19. Very powerful your words are Anita, I think I have said it before. But, They are very very powerful... I wish to do that once I would feel I have accomplished my goals. I know, they say do it as soon as possible. But, I feel it is like giving up of my aims if I do it before my inner self feels that I have lived my life in a worthy way...

    1. Surely Sindhu. Do take your time & consider.
If we register ourselves as donor now, our organs can be used after our death.
One is not sure when she/he gets the call to leave Planet Earth. But, at least we can ensure that our death is of use for some needy people...
