IntelliZENce

ASUS - Incredible ZEN

A funny thing happened on my way to the market.

I saw some pretty flowers on the road and took out my new Smartphone to capture their photograph.

My phone’s screen actually gave me all the information about the flowers, including their name, where they are found and their date of birth!

Then, several other incredible incidents happened after this…
I saw the elderly fruit-seller and I knew that it was his birthday that day.

I greeted cheerily- “Janamdin ki badhaai, Kaka.”
(Best wishes for your birthday, Uncle.)
There was a pause as he started thinking.
He replied, “Main bhool gaya tha... Aapko kaise pata chala, bitiya?”
(I had forgotten… How did you know, daughter?)

I smiled.

This was courtesy the newest Smartphone that I had received as a gift a few hours ago.

My Smartphone’s intelliZENce automatically detects and recognizes images, data and text giving me more info about them when I simply point it to an object/person.

I decided to pick a cover for my Smartphone.

“Should I go to X market or Y market?” I enquired.

Surprisingly, I got the answer lightning fast, in a flash!
I was amazed to find a comparison between the two markets and which one is better and the reason why.
I could see the best deals, brands, quality, discount, manufacturing-date, lowest cost etc. despite the fact that my new Smartphone had NO Internet connection!
My Smartphone had smartly chosen the best cover for itself!

Wow! Decision-making & Shopping is so easy!

Everyone had always called me “Walkie-Talkie Encyclopedia” in School.
I felt delighted that now, after so many years, finally I can truly do justice to my title as my Smartphone gives me information or guidance & I get instant answers!
I clearly knew the details about objects & persons!

I felt blessed with my new-found Superpowers & IntelliZENce that seemed to say-
Let there be light! May you have ALL THE KNOWLEDGE IN THE WORLD!

There was a road-accident.

The respective vehicle-owners were debating whose fault it was.

As usual, a huge crowd had gathered to ‘watch the fun’.

The line from the Rig Veda came to my mind- “May noble thoughts come to us from all sides.

As if taking a cue, my Smartphone’s powers enveloped a positive atmosphere all around.

Within seconds, the warring parties shook hands and everyone went to do productive works!

I felt very powerful!

I imagined a world where everyone is friends… so many handshakes…
Source
There are no boundaries as ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (The whole world is a family)

I selected the whole world in my Smartphone.

I shared positive energy by spreading powerful feel-good messages & love & peace vibrations to brains worldwide so that so that everyone feels happy and optimistic.

I infected the world with hope, honesty & smiles!
I sincerely prayed –

“Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha, (May all be Happy)
Sarve Santu Niramaya, (May all be Free from Disease)
Sarve Bhadrani Pashyantu, (May all have Well-Being)
Ma Kaschit Dukhkha Bhaga Bhavet” (May there never be Sadness)

I raised the World's Collective Happiness-Index!

You might ask- “Okay, so what’s so 'funny'?”
It is funny, as for a Smartphone App contest some years ago, I had written all these ideas!
Funnily, that time, everyone felt my ideas were silly & funny!
And now this revolutionary IntelliZENce is reality!

I learnt - "What is funny at one time, is serious at another"!

Now I have our WORLD AT MY FINGERTIPS & IN MY MIND!

I can do what others can’t do & see what others can’t see!

Like He-Man, I can say- “I HAVE THE POWER!”

I have the IntelliZENce!

I will use my Smartphone’s IntelliZENce to benefit our world so that we all can-
KEEP CALM & CARE & ZEN

  3. Anita quite a few years back I was actually stunned to read about how Koreans were actually using their smartphones to do everything for them. So when they got back home from work the rice would be cooked piping hot, the laundry all done, the water warm for the shower, and not to miss it it would not be dark when they entered their homes. Yeah I read it in one article...don't exactly remember of which paper but I was stunned.
Yeah technology the way everything is going we sure do have the world on our finger tips...but on second thoughts...don't you think fingers is all we use these days. Our eyes are glued on to a screen...and all we use is our finger tips. World is also slipping away...faster than we imagined. Soon everything will become virtual. Have u seen the movie ' She' ? If yes then u'll understand what I mean. If not then see it. I am trying to cope with this new scenario where everywhere I look I find people looking at some screen. Earlier we looked at each other and even smiled at strangers.
I have this itch and I talk...but ur write up was enjoyable of course. But tell me sumthing...really that Kaka's birthday how did the smartphone give u Kaka's birthday. Not unless u have his details stored already....
Ur kind thoughts and words for Kaka...that was really nice. :)
Wish Smartphones can bring in all the peace that we desire. But statistics reveal that life was less stressful sans the gizmos and gadgets and we were healthier in body and mind earlier than now...even when we have all the information on our finger tips.
Thank you so much Anita for all ur time. I have seen all ur sincere comments and will work over ur suggestions too. Will find time tomorrow...then answer to each.
    Love and hugzzzz

    1. Yes Shivani, I had seen a TV-show on Discovery Channel & I was amazed to see the Smartphone usage in Japan where the public uses it extensively for so many daily works.

You are right that Technology is evolving at a fast pace.
I feel soon we will have no reason to stare at any screen..
See the hands-free "Bluetooth" devices we currently use (on our ears) for communication purpose.
In the future we just have to think and our thoughts can connect us to a WWW :)
Then we can know any object/person's DOB or other details simply by looking at them!

In this post, I came to know the Fruit-Seller Kaka's DOB in the same way as I knew details about the flowers on the road.
"My Smartphone's IntelliZENce automatically detects images and recognizes images, data, text giving me more info about them when I simply point to an object/person."

May Technology be so advanced that, some day, we can ensure a healthy body & mind with our thoughts...& also world peace & happiness...

Good Luck with the contest....BTW, how can I subscribe to your posts via email?

    1. Yes, Vidhya. The Bio-Data & other info of any person/object will make the world safer & more trustworthy.
But, more Superpowers can "apply" good vibes all over so that "Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinaha" prayer comes true...

  29. Hi Anita .. i was in Hong kong recently and was in a tram standing besides a lady's seat who was probably returning home. She was busy on her smartphone and since i was standing and she was sitting, I could see what was going on. Guess what .. she was watching her domestic help at home who was probably appointed to care for her toddler at home with cctv cameras that were fitted and connected to her mobile phone. When the domestic help moved from one room to another, all she needed to do was to move from one camera to another and follow her movements. She could even catch up on what happended in the afternoon by moving the timeline. It was good use of technology with amazing clarity on a smartphone but frankly it felt very creepy.
This post is probably a reflection of all that a phone could do in the future.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog post.

Yes, the way technology is being used now is startling. But, look at the positives. The working-mom will be at ease & can monitor her kid.
The recent terrible Tutor incident in Kolkata has led to an increase in demand for CCTV Cameras. Sometimes, technology can save us.
There are possibilities unlimited for the way technology will be used in the future...
