He embarked thinking it’ll be easy & less time-taking to travel.
He was captive.

My 55-Word Story for #55WordChallenge :Week Sixteen
I also link it to ABC-Wednesday- W for Warning & Wrong & Wise.
Note- I dedicate this story to my Mother, who often advised me the lesson that's conveyed in the last line of the story & is in bold. Thanks Mom for all your wise lessons & stories.
very true Anita.. I know sometimes we for some reason chose the wrong one and have to repent..
ReplyDeletethe right road may take long but you will definitely reach the destination
Bikram
Yes Bikram :) May we have the power to pick the right road.

We are wise when we recognize Wisdom :)
DeleteThanks Roger for reading :)
That's beautiful and I always believe taking the road full of stumbling block and thorns leads to ultimate success in life. It reminds me of SRK in DDLJ and how true:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vishal. True.
DeleteYes, incidentally the DDLJ movie has the same dialogue as my Mom's lesson.
SRK's character, Raj conveys the same advice that his mom had given- sahi raasta (right road) & galat raasta (wrong road) :)
Very true, Anita! Funnily enough the first draft I wrote for this prompt was on similar lines :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading & sharing, Uma :)
DeleteI wrote this thinking it'll be unique! Then, after posting I read some posts that have similar character/choice idea - same as my post :)
Great minds think alike! Have to become a greater mind to think different :)
