Read Part-I - The Truth
In her writing-career, an established-writer
X started stalking her.
Amongst her site’s 1st readers,
X posted the same ideas some hours later!
Worse, X slapped charges on her- Plagiarism
& Cyber-Harassment unfair…
Baseless malicious public-allegations & private hate-mails put her integrity under glare.
Baseless malicious public-allegations & private hate-mails put her integrity under glare.
(About X) She
wished she knew then what she knew now…
X is mentally
unstable & Schizophrenic anyhow!
People had heard only (X’s) one side
of the story.
No one knew her story & the
reality so gory!
Will sharing the truth make her character
cleaner?
At the other side of the fence, is the
grass greener?

Hahaha! Pretty good poem about the "underside" of the writing biz.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my Blog :)
DeleteThis underside is pretty serious! Glad you liked it!
Loved the way you fused the poem and the story into 100 words.Underbelly of the writing world.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kalpanaji :) Appreciate your appreciation :)
DeleteYou managed to write a poem in 100 words? Kudos to you! Loved every bit of it. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Khushboo! Delighted that you liked!

Bikram
You have a valid point, Bikram.
DeleteUnless she speaks, people won't know her side of the story and they will continue to feel she is guilty! :)
You have so amazingly written the poem Anita.. :) Bringing to light a burning issue of the writing biz..
ReplyDeleteThanks Anusree :)
DeleteSad reality. Many get scared by such reflections & implications!
The sequel was like Dabang-3, stronger than before. Well worded poem. Keep rocking.

ReplyDeletePlagiarism.....the unexpressed expressions of a newbie...
wonderful
Thanks Sitara for your nice words :) Welcome to my Blog :)
DeleteThe prompt blew my mind and a fab take on plagiarism that touched the heart. The right emotions, crisp narration and u got it flying from start to finish in style.
ReplyDeleteBtw, love the design for Write Tribe:)
Thanks a lot Vishal for such kind words & support :)
DeleteI haven't designed it. The 1st pic is indeed from the Write Tribe site :)
First let me grab this moment to thank you for gracing my blog with ur kind words. Now honestly i feel i wish i had ur talent. i have been grappling with this serious flaw of mine...how to say so much by saying so little. You have said it so well that there's nothing that needs to be said. True talent always remains...ideas get copied...words get copied but thoughts i get these days people listen to your thoughts too and start copying that too...and they won't ever give you credits and as you say will do worse. But in the end i believe truth prevails. As you said it yourself so beautifully, " At the other side of the fence, is the grass greener." Makes me think of something else on similar lines though which was something like this...blowing out someones candle will not mke yours shine any brighter and the best one by Hellen Keller " Keep your face to the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind you."
ReplyDeleteWelcome to my Blog, Shivani :) Lovely that you have shared such kind & inspiring words & support :) Thanks!
DeleteI agree with your views. In this age of Social Media, ideas get easily copied & original proponents do not earn their due as the 'inspired' folks don't give them any credit.
The Hindi movie- Akele Hum Akele Tum shows the struggle of a Newbie whose work is copied by a famous Music-Director duo, who even win Awards! What point is an Award that's based on another's hard-work/idea/talent?
May the shadows fall behind & let there be light :)
Love your style of writing, always short and crisp. loved reading this one too
ReplyDeleteThanks Nima for your appreciation :) Means a lot!
DeleteDear Anita,
ReplyDeleteClever verse. Poor X.
shalom,
Rochelle
Thanks Rochelle :) Poor X indeed.
DeleteOne is poor if one indulges in falsehood just like X has done...
Good tie-in to the photo at the end of the poem. Hope X gets some treatment.
ReplyDeletejanet
Thanks Janet! Welcome to my Blog! :)
DeleteYes, X needs treatment!
it was so well written :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Ankur :)
DeleteAnita, Good story. I read the first half and this was a fitting sequal. I hope your narrator is found to be innocent of all the lies told about her and the guilty person gets the needed help. Well written. : ) ---Susan
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, reading & sharing such a nice wish!
DeleteAmen! Even I hope & wish that all such people may please regain their past status & may the guilty get their due. They say- Truth wins. May it be so in reality...
