She called up friends, let
her candid thoughts flow…
Through the Social-Media, she
made everyone know.
To her hotel-room, she invited
TV-journalists to prove & show,
She claimed she had strong
evidence against her foe…
Before she could share she suffered a sad blow…
Her secrets would be
killed with her- Little Did She Know…
This is my poem for the WriteTribe 55 on Friday 2014 – 1
very sad as she had to meet her end this way.............
ReplyDeleteYes she did unfortunately... Died with all her secrets...
DeleteOh that is sad, but at least she did everything she could to warn everyone! ♥
ReplyDeleteKathy, she was killed so that she could not/would not share her secrets...
DeleteWOW the word! Beautiful verses Anita! You are SO creative! :) <3
ReplyDeleteThanks for the WOW words, Ms.Creative :)
Deletewuhhuu!

Aayesha, People with secrets are killed...
DeletePoor poor Sunanda Pushkar. Breaks my heart every time I read about her.
ReplyDeleteYou have put it beautifully Anita! Little did she know :(
Heart-touching story, Soumya. With Sunanda Pushkar's mysterious death, there's a lot more that we'll never know...
DeleteGlad you liked it.
Ohh so sad...I feel so bad for her !
ReplyDeleteYes, Naba. I am still shocked...
DeleteWhat a chequered life the woman had. Always considered her a strong wilful woman. And now to die like this! Bizarre. Feel sad for her.
ReplyDeleteRagini, I continue to consider her gutsy. It takes guts to be so vocal. She was killed for that reason...
DeletePoor poor woman!!! I know who is the inspiration behind it.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant Anita!
No prizes for guessing that, Red! Sad that this has happened.
DeleteThanks for the appreciation.
Sad reality..you've touched the right chord..
ReplyDeleteReality shocks really! Thanks Maniparna. Just showed the mirror.
DeleteHuh! These dirty politics! Will they really never change?! Heart-wrenching post, Anita. You have brought life to the words!
ReplyDeleteThanks Preeti! Sometimes writing about the truth makes sense with sensational results. Yes, it's dirty politics.
DeleteHappens so often. So very often!
ReplyDeleteTrue Sammya. All this is considered pretty normal now. Isn't that abnormal ?
DeleteYes, Ashwini. She certainly deserved better. But, it was her life & she had always lived as she wished, though she would never have liked to die so...
ReplyDeleteWow...very truly written...hw sad this brave lady had to die. Ur tweet was gud on this - she deserved better....
ReplyDeleteYes Amrita, I learnt of the sad news on Twitter- where incidentally all the drama began. She certainly deserved better... than being killed so...
Deleteoh my.. thats sad...
ReplyDeletegood one Anita, as usual :)
Yes indeed Meera, we all are sad.
DeleteThanks.
Ah! The last line is so sad and poignant. Beautifully written :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Bhavya. Part of the last line is the prompt- 'Little did she know'. Felt it's apt for her...
DeleteHer life and death were camouflaged with controversies and mysteries. But sad that she had such a tragic end. Hope true justice prevails :(
ReplyDeleteRight Prasanna. She was no stranger to controversies & each time, I felt, she emerged stronger. This time her story was cut short. Certainly hope the guilty are brought to book.
Deletenicely embedded real news into this post. great writing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Amar. Real News is intriguing like a horror tale.
Deletegood one...!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimi.
DeleteBeautifully written ! I get a feeling its relating to the recent death of a politician's wife right?
ReplyDeleteSad and touching...
Yes Najm. That's the connection. Really sad.
DeleteOhoho..She will be tossing and turning in her grave seeing all these comments..Poor Poor girl...:D
ReplyDeletePreethi, She'll be really upset with the baseless & wrong assumptions being made everywhere. Here, we are all her sympathizers who are on her side... and would like justice.
DeleteCrisp & very well chosen words. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written Anita! :)
Thanks Nikhil. Am deeply pained with this & had to express...
DeleteFelt sad after reading your words... Feeling scary after reading Preethi's comment :( :(
ReplyDeleteYou write so well that it always touches my heart...

The Arts & Me
Sindhu, I had to share my shock after this unfortunate incident...
DeleteThanks for your heart-touching words.
Nice one Anitha! And you made it rhyme as well :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Seeta. I love poems, especially those that rhyme. Glad you liked.
DeleteI loved it. Im glad you did write this. See what happens to those who wash thr linen for the world to see. But what a terrible loss
ReplyDeleteMenachary, She was a very open & gutsy lady who lived by her own terms. If she did share her story with all, shows that she spoke her mind and didn't fear being judged... I feel she had some secrets that got killed with her. This is a case that'll remain a mystery, like all the previous ones of its ilk. Terrible loss indeed.
Deletethat was a very sad death of poor Sunanda Pushkar...very well written :)
ReplyDeleteReal story that's now subject to doubts & speculation...
DeleteThanks for stopping by, reading & sharing. Glad you liked.
Will any one ever know the answer?
ReplyDeleteWell told Anita.
True Indrani. There are some answers that we'll not know, including who's responsible for this sad murder.
DeleteMere Blog mein aapka Swagat. Dhanyawaad.
ReplyDeleteOooohhh.. Whistles :D
ReplyDeleteWill reserve the whistles for happy endings...
DeleteNicely narrated tale.
ReplyDeleteThanks Beloo.
DeleteBut, do wish the incident, that inspired this, never happened...
A sad and shocking tale with the recent twist. Hope justice is done to her.
ReplyDeleteWritten last year after the unfortunate incident.
DeleteAmen. May there be justice for Sunanda Pushkar.
