“No, you can’t!” they said.
“Possible to go ahead?”
“You have done it many times before!”
“Impossible for you to improve score!”
Yet again she came far…
She attained dreams; earned fame!
The next day’s paper had her name!
“YELENA ISINBAYEVA DOES IT AGAIN!”
(“There are no victories without pain”)

DeleteMy honor! :)
That last line! So thoughtful! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written ma'am. Keep writing.
Thanks Bhavya!
DeleteBut, the last line is not my original!
It's from a motivational poem I had read long ago- "DON'T QUIT"- that continues to inspire.
I love the whole poem, but distinctly remember two lines-
"There are no Rainbows Without Rain;
There are no Victories without Pain..."
I believe- We must never quit and keep on achieving further success that's sure to impress! :)
Ah! That is absolutely right ma'am. It is nevertheless, a very powerful piece of writing :)
DeleteThanks Bhavya! May we achieve more & improve our score! :)
